B&Q Leaflet
Project for a local branch
I was trusted by my local B&Q to design a leaflet to market their showroom department, encouraging locals to consider getting a free design and quote for their kitchen, bathroom, or storage needs. Typically, the customers that make their way to B&Q are people who were unsatisfied with the pricing of competitors, so perhaps it’d be a good idea to market that they provide such services too - maybe have some come to B&Q first.
I started by researching B&Q's current branding and marketing. I was aiming to recreate the style and tone accurately so that it seemed professional and legitimate. I found that paramount to maintaining, or perhaps building, trust with locals. An unprofessional or illegitimate-looking leaflet would harm B&Q's reputation if it made its way into their homes. How can one trust a store if its ads do not look real? After doing so I started gathering the materials I may need, which were graciously provided by B&Q as PDF brochures, and got to work.
After a little bit of feedback, the managers were happy and we sent it off to print. I am quite proud of this leaflet, I think I managed to make it look real and official whilst messaging potential customers towards the local branch.
